We are Desperate for the Poor and the Broken.

This generation faces much so much promise, and pain. Meet Lindsey. God used one little broken girl in India, to change her life forever. She was inspired to help many others. Turns out, Lindsey needed that little girl almost as much as the little one was desperate for help. I can relate. The broken-beyond-repair little one that God sent into my life, has changed me forever. Poor, desperate, voiceless, sick……….. turns out I needed to meet Moises as much as he needs me. We are not so different. I am as desperate for God as he is. I need him to help me remember, and melt this broken, spoiled, hard heart that I struggle with. A Holy, sacrificial quest? HARDLY! An honor, privilege and relief from self-focus? YES! We need the poor, as much or more than they need us. And we are ALL desperate for a Holy and Merciful God. It is a sacred, but strangely hedonistic work. Lord, help me to remember where you found me! Broken, poor and desperate. Help me pour my life out for the least of these.

“Lindsey now works as the Director of Development for Sarah's Covenant Homes and is based in Gainesville, GA. She loves her job and she loves getting to advocate for some of her favorite kids in the world. She is thankful that God gave her a second chance to fall in love with them.”

Is. 58:10. “And if you give yourself to the hungry, and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then your light will rise in darkness, and your gloom will become like midday. And the LORD will continually guide you, and satisfy your desire in scorched places, and give strength to your bones; and you will be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water whose waters do not fail.”

Grace and Peace, in the Name of the LORD, JESUS!

This website is dedicated to the work the LORD JESUS is doing here in San Felix, Province of Chiriqui, Panama.

We arrived in the summer of  2013, I mean at the beginning of rainy season here in Panama, which is June.  Although it has only been a few months,  the stories and blogs that could be posted are enormous.  Wow! Now I understand better what John referred to in His Gospel chapter 21:25 “And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that event the world itself could not contain the books that would be written.”  NKJV

One of these on-going stories will be about the work that is currently being done in the Comarca (Reservation) Ngöbe-Buglé through the work of Missionary and Pastor Alexander Taylor and his wife Mirta, “LA OBRA.”  (THE WORK)

Also, we  will be posting on the new work the LORD has begun to do here in this area with us, Heather and Danny Nelson.  A few of the stories in which the Lord has graciously allowed us to participate in.  How grateful we are that He is merciful, gracious and kind to allow us to be here.  Thank You Father!
